Captain Babar Azam became the fastest batter to score 7,000 runs in the T20s after hitting another milestone on Sunday. The feat was accomplished during the T20 Cup match between Southern Punjab and Central Punjab in Rawalpindi. Babar has surpassed the record of Chris Gayle and Virat Kholi scoring 7000 runs.

The record of Chris Gayle was set in 192 innings, while Virat Kohli accomplished this feat in his 212th innings. Babar Azam became the 30th player in the T20s to reach 7000 runs, and the third Pakistani to do so following Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez.
