The Pakistan High Commission in London launched the Oxford Pakistan Programme, a program that funds academic and research scholarships for Pakistani students. Under this program, students will be given the opportunity to study at Oxford University. In addition to providing graduate scholarships, Pakistani faculty will receive visiting fellowships and receive special lectures on eastern philosophy.

Several Pakistani individuals have donated over £500,000 to the program and have pledged to provide assistance in the future. The OPP was founded by two Oxford alums, Haroon Zaman and Talha Pirzada.
