PFF seeks dialogue with FIFA months after suspension from global body

Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, president of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), said on Saturday that they were open to discussions with FIFA regarding their issues. The PFF was suspended by FIFA in April after Shah, a group of officials elected by the Pakistani Supreme Court for the PFF but not recognized by FIFA, took over the Pakistan football headquarters from the FIFA normalization committee.

Harbhajan, Stokes, and Brathwaite praise Asif Ali for stealing show against Afghanistan

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, England’s Ben Stokes, and West Indian Carlos Brathwaite praised Pakistan’s Asif Ali for his outstanding performance against Afghanistan. Pakistan struggled to win a close game against Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup’s Super 12 stages. Taking to Twitter all the three known cricketers expressed their feelings about the clean and powerful hitter Asif Ali.

Pakistan, Germany sign debt payment suspension agreement worth 26.213 million euros

Pakistan and Germany on Thursday signed a debt payment suspension agreement worth 26.213 million euros. The agreement is part of the Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI). Pakistan and Germany celebrate 60 years of development cooperation in the coming months with the signing of the agreement. Germany’s KfW maintains a portfolio of over 600 million euros worth of financial cooperation with Pakistan.

Faisal Khan Afridi promoted to ICC’s International Panel of Umpires

The ICC’s International Panel of Umpires has promoted Faisal Khan Afridi to its ranks after an in-house evaluation and appraisal process. Faisal has been replaced by Shozab Raza, who will continue to serve on the PCB Elite Panel of Umpires. Following his impressive decision-making and man-management skills demonstrated in domestic matches, Faisal got selected in the international panel.
