Maryam Nawaz has millions of fake followers on her Twitter account, alleges Fayyaz

Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has alleged that Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has millions of fake followers on her Twitter account. Fayyaz revealed that out of 5 million followers of Maryam, 80% are fake. He said that most of the followers never liked any tweet. He further added that, 1898 followers created their Twitter accounts in a single day.

Pemra bars all TV channels from airing news about motorway gang-rape case

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has banned all television channels from airing news about the Sialkot motorway gang-rape incident. The ban comes after an order was passed by the trial court on the request of the police, claiming that the media reporting would damage and diminish the evidence so far collected by the police and create hindrance in catching the culprit.

Pakistani electrician has empowered six daughters by training them in repairs

A Pakistani electrician, Naseeb Jamal, is defying odds by teaching six out of his eight daughters his craft to help them become self-reliant in the future. Jamal, an electrician for 20 years,  runs a dingy repair shop for electronic appliances in Qasba Colony, Karachi. While two of Jamal’s younger daughters are still learning, four are already adept electricians and their father’s pride. 

Declared ‘absconder’, Nawaz’s speeches can not be broadcast: PEMRA

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Thursday banned the broadcast of speeches, interviews and public addresses by absconders and proclaimed offenders. The development came a few hours after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif slammed the government in his second address to the PML-N’s central working committee meeting, which was aired on numerous news channels in Pakistan.

Nawaz has India’s support in order to ‘weaken the army’: PM Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed that PML-N supremo Nawaz Shari has India’s support to ‘weaken the army’. In an interview with a local news channel he said that Nawaz is playing a dangerous game; ‘Altaf Hussain played the same game’. The PM added that relations between government and military are the “best in history” because all institutions are working in their spheres.
