Pakistani physician heading a Phase III clinical trial for a Chinese Covid-19 vaccine candidate has urged people to volunteer. Ejaz A. Khan, who is heading the trial at Islamabad’s Shifa International Hospital, urged people to join hands in order to overcome their hesitance towards immunisation programmes. Pakistan launched the trial last week for Ad5-nCoV, a vaccine candidate co-developed by CanSino Biologics.

Wildlife Park in UK removes parrots from view for swearing at visitors

Five foul-mouthed parrots have been separated after learning to swear at a Lincolnshire zoo in the UK. The parrots – named Billy, Elsie, Eric, Jade and Tyson – joined Lincolnshire Wildlife Park’s colony of 200 grey parrots in August. But soon after, they started encouraging each other to swear. The parrots have since been distributed to different areas of the park.

FIA books Meesha Shafi along with eight others over vilification of Ali Zafar

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime wing has booked singer Meesha Shafi and eight others for launching a smear campaign against singer-actor Ali Zafar. The FIR against the suspects was filed for a non-cognisable offence on order of FIA special court. According to the FIR, the suspects were summoned multiple times to present their defence, failing which granted a cause of criminal proceedings against them.

Pakistan’s Muhammad Rashid made 45 records to his name by defeating S.Navin Kumar from India by cracking the most walnuts head to head in a minute. Rashid cracked 254 walnuts whereas, Kumar cracked 239.
