Maryam Nawaz has millions of fake followers on her Twitter account, alleges Fayyaz

Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has alleged that Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has millions of fake followers on her Twitter account. Fayyaz revealed that out of 5 million followers of Maryam, 80% are fake. He said that most of the followers never liked any tweet. He further added that, 1898 followers created their Twitter accounts in a single day.

An elderly woman from Peshawar, Saeedah Sultan, has filed an appeal in the Supreme court for her Haq Mehr. Saeedah was married at the age of 15. After 75 years of marriage, she has still not received her Haq Mehr which is a 3-Kanal and 10-marla of land. Saeedah claims the land is on her name and her husband has also passed away.

Pemra bars all TV channels from airing news about motorway gang-rape case

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has banned all television channels from airing news about the Sialkot motorway gang-rape incident. The ban comes after an order was passed by the trial court on the request of the police, claiming that the media reporting would damage and diminish the evidence so far collected by the police and create hindrance in catching the culprit.

Pakistani electrician has empowered six daughters by training them in repairs

A Pakistani electrician, Naseeb Jamal, is defying odds by teaching six out of his eight daughters his craft to help them become self-reliant in the future. Declared ‘absconder’, Nawaz’s speeches can not be broadcast: PEMRA

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Thursday banned the broadcast of speeches, interviews and public addresses by absconders and proclaimed offenders. The development came a few hours after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif slammed the government in his second address to the PML-N’s central working committee meeting, which was aired on numerous news channels in Pakistan.

With more than 170,000 views since it was uploaded on on September 25, Imran takes the lead on US President Donald Trump’s UNGA address which has close to 140,000 views since it was uploaded on September 22. In third place is Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s speech.
