Rasool Pur, a remote village in Pakistan’s northeastern Punjab province, has created a model for a perfect civilization for the whole world. This village that has a 100% literacy rate and zero crime rate celebrated International Literacy Day on Sept 8. Government Girls High School Principal Mehtaab Jahan says nobody litters on the street or smokes anywhere in Rasool Pur.
Rasool Pur is home to about 2,000 to 3,000 people, most of whom are Ahmadani Baloch. Due to the lack of a regular source of income, education became one of their tools to earn a living. The village has two high schools and one primary school. College students continue their education in nearby Jampur city, located 8-10 kilometers away after high school. The village’s women are all educated here, showing that they value women’s education.
