PTA imposed a heavy fine of Rs30 million on Jazz for poor service in seven cities across Pakistan. Chairman PTA issued the ruling, stating that Jazz failed to meet the Quality of Services Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the seven cities. According to a QoS survey conducted by the telecommunication authority during December 2020, Jazz provided low-quality services to its customers.
Consequently, the operator was informed of the shortcomings and given a month to correct them. Jazz, on the other hand, resisted providing quality services to its users in the seven cities.
Jazz has also been warned of legal proceedings if it continues to fail to improve the quality of its services as per the license standards and QoS Regulations.
