Pakistani celebrities call for justice for minor domestic worker’s murder

Pakistani celebrities have joined hands calling for justice for Zohra Shah, an 8 year old who was beaten to death by her employers. Zohra was reportedly kicked repeatedly for accidentally freeing an expensive parrot. Celebrities like Mahira Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Armeena Khan and activist Muniba Mazari among others took to Twitter to express their grief over Zohra’s ruthless murder.

Osman Khalid Butt insisted on putting an end to child labor, and asked for a stricter implementation of labor laws. “Child labor is child abuse”, he said. “We 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 have another case like Zohra Shah”, he asserted.

Soon after the incident made to news, there was an outrage on Twitter and users demanded of justice for Zohra. The abuser has been taken into custody and FIR has been registered against the couple for murder and rape.
