Israel’s news websites hacked on General Soleimani Assassination anniversary

Hackers attacked Israeli media outlets early on Monday. It appeared that the threat was related to the murder of General Soleimani two years ago. Jerusalem Post website and Maariv Twitter account were flooded with a picture of a fist firing a shell from a ring with a red stone on it toward an exploded dome.

“We are close to you where you do not think about it”, the text reads in English and Hebrew below the fist. General Soleimani headed Iran’s Quds Force, the foreign operations wing of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
