Cricket England (ECB) has canceled its tour to Pakistan following the cancellation of New Zealand’s team days before the series due to “security concerns”. England’s men’s team was due to play two Twenty20 matches in Rawalpindi on October 13 and 14. Additionally, the women’s team was due to play three one-day internationals in Pakistan for the first time.

ECB has been committed to touring Pakistan under the Men’s Future Tours Programme in 2022. The board emphasized the importance of the “physical and mental well-being” of its players and the support staff, especially in light of the time “we are currently living in”.
