Ehsan Mani resigns, Ramiz Raja is all set to take over as PCB chairman

Ramiz Raja has been nominated to become the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The decision was made following a meeting with Imran Khan, who gave the go-ahead to the change of guard. The former chairman of PCB, Ehsan Mani, resigned on Thursday following the completion of his three-year term. Ramiz and Mani met with the Prime Minister on Monday afternoon.

Mani had confirmed that he would not extend his tenure as PCB chairman, which ended on August 25.  Finally, the decision was made three days later, when Ramiz Raja confirmed that he had accepted the job. “The aim is to reset Pakistan cricket’s GPS and will be in pursuit of excellence,” Raja added.
