CAA plans helicopter flights for Skardu, Gilgit to promote tourism

The federal government has planned flights of international airlines and helicopter flights for Skardu and Gilgit to promote tourism. Director General CAA Khaqan Murtaza stated that operating large planes will promote tourism in Gilgit, Skardu, and Chitral. Moreover, Skardu airport has been granted the status of an international airport.

Additionally, the “international airport” is working on preparing a new runway, and it will also have helicopter landing facilities in tourist areas. According to DG CAA, the tourism operation will also be offered to Gwadar, Turbat, and Mohenjo Daro.
