Blame game and war of words erupts between PM Shehbaz and Imran Khan on Twitter

There’s no love lost between PTI’s Imran Khan and PML-N’s Shehbaz Sharif and they are often seen taking jibes at each other. PM Shehbaz has now directly responded to Imran Khan’s Twitter posts on various issues including blocking their flood relief telethon, and silencing pro-PTI journalists, saying they are busy with the rehabilitation of masses in the wake of devastating floods.

PM Shehbaz added that there’s no time for ‘accusations and misunderstandings’ and responded that his government would never follow ‘PTI’s suppressive tactics’.

He also expressed hope that the PTI chief would give an account of “every single penny” raised in the telethon as well as the donations gathered during the 2010 floods as “I and my colleagues have always given”.

A day ago, the PTI chief had asked the prime minister on Twitter if he was responsible for a string of recent alleged actions against the PTI, including silencing it on the media, registering cases against pro-PTI journalists, “blacking it out” on social media or stopping the telecast of the party’s flood donation telethon.
