The Pakistani couple who remained stranded at the Wagah-Attari border for more than two months named their newborn ‘Border’. The child was born on December 2, 2021. They remain in India since they lack the necessary documents to cross the border. The parents of a boy born at the Pakistan-India border, Nimbu Bai and Balam Ram, hail from Rajanpur district in Punjab province.
Several women from Indian Punjab villages helped Nimbu Bai deliver “Border”. The couple is among 99 Pakistanis who went on a pilgrimage to India.
