Nike sues Brooklyn art over ‘Satan Shoes’ with human blood

Nike is suing Brooklyn art collective MSCHF over a controversial pair of “Satan Shoes” that contain a drop of real human blood in the soles. The $1,018 (£740) trainers, which feature an inverted cross, a pentagram and the words “Luke 10:18”, were made using modified Nike Air Max 97s. 666 pairs of the shoes released on Monday in collaboration with rapper Lil Nas X were sold out in less than a minute.

It attempts to create a discourse around their experiences through documenting their history, present and future in various forms stated a press release.

Pakistan to import three million Chinese Cansino vaccines in mid-April

Pakistan will import Chinese Cansino Biologics Covid-19 vaccines in bulk to package three million doses locally, said Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar. The bulk vaccine received will be formulated, sterilised and packed in Pakistan. For this purpose special equipment has been procured and manpower is being trained. The bulk dose will arrive in mid-April.

Production team of Turkey’s most loved drama series Ertuğrul to visit Pakistan after Eid

The production team of Turkish historical drama series Ertuğrul will visit Pakistan after Eid, said National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser. On his visit to Turkey to attend a conference in Antalya, Qaiser met with Mehmet Bozdag, the producer of Ertugrul and Kurlus Osman. During the meeting, Pakistan-Turkey’s joint venture for the production of a new drama was agreed.

Royal Saudi Air Force delegation arrives in Pakistan for PAF counterterror exercise

Indoor and outdoor weddings banned across country due to the rising coronavirus cases

The National Command and Operation Centre has banned both indoor and outdoor weddings due to the alarming rise in coronavirus cases across the country. The new restrictions will be imposed from April 5 and last throughout Ramazan, Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar said on Sunday. However, provinces will be free to implement restrictions early in time as per the situation on the ground.

Pakistan Rangers have claimed to have arrested an impostor, who was allegedly impersonating an army officer to commit various crimes in Karachi. The held suspect was a resident of Moosa Lane, Lyari, and would present himself as a colonel deputed in a sensitive agency. He used the fake credentials to extract large sums of money from people with the promise to provide admissions in medical colleges, jobs and even degrees of various academic institutes.

COVID-19 vaccine drive in country widens, citizens aged 50 and above next in line

Asad Umar, the head of Pakistan’s National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has revealed that the country would now start registering people aged above 50 years to receive the coronavirus vaccine, starting March 30. He encouraged everyone in that age bracket to get registered. Registration for people over 60 is ongoing. The two-dose Sinopharm vaccine is being given in this phase.
