The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) will host the first-ever National Open Javelin Throw competition on November 29 at the Punjab Stadium, Lahore. Following the incredible performance of Pakistan’s javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem at the Tokyo Olympics, the AFP decided to give a chance to young and promising competitors all over Pakistan. The competition would allow the athletes to showcase their talent.

Participants will receive handsome cash prizes and certificates as prizes for winning the contest, he said. Javelin throwers from all affiliated units of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan will compete in this one-day event, Zafar said.
