Shoaib Malik becomes first batter in Asia to score 11,000 T20 runs

Shoaib Malik became the first Asian batter to score 11000 runs in T20 cricket on Thursday. He reached this milestone during a game between Central Punjab and Southern Punjab in the National T20 Cup. Shoaib Malik reached the feat during his 24-ball 26 while playing for Central Punjab in Lahore. Malik is the third T20i player to achieve this feat after Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard.

The record for Chris Gayle is 14276 runs in 448 matches while the record for Kieron Pollard is 11223 runs in 567 T20 matches. Central Punjab is presently the top team in the points table with five victories from seven matches.
