Sarfaraz Ahmed is set to be demoted to C category in PCB Central Contract

Sarfaraz Ahmed, the former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, has been demoted to category C on a new PCB central contract. The decision has been taken by PCB CEO Wasim Khan, Director of International Cricket Operations, and the head coach. Sarfaraz was captain of the team across various formats in his last contract.

Moreover, after the 2019 World Cup, Sarfaraz Ahmed lost the captaincy and his place in all formats of the team. Last year, the PCB awarded central contracts to only 19 players, excluding senior players like Muhammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik.
