Samina Baig, the first Muslim Pakistani woman to summit Everest, is now ready to set out on her expedition to K-2. Samina, who will be setting out for her journey on the 26th of June 2021, has done all seven summits at the young age of 21. She is also a brand ambassador of the Special Communications Organisation (SCO).

As a member of the SCO, Samina has helped promote Special Communications Organizations initiatives in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan for the last four years. SCO has fully sponsored and supported this expedition, in which she will become the first Pakistani woman to raise Pakistan’s flag at the peak of an 8,611-meter high peak. This initiative aims to raise awareness about global warming and climate change while promoting women’s empowerment.
