A paralyzed man in Australia has become the first person to tweet a message using only his mind. Therefore, he used mainly his brain to tweet, rather than typing. Philip O’Keefe, a motor neuron disease patient, was made able to perform the feat with a microchip the size of a paperclip implanted in his brain.
A tiny brain implant was able to read the 62-year-old man’s thoughts and translate them into a text. The brain implant allowed Philip to say ‘Hello World’. It has been described as the “first direct-thought tweet”.
