Pakistan’s weightlifter Nooh Dastagir Butt wins silver medal in Tashkent’s World Championship

Pakistani weightlifter Nooh Dastagir Butt, won a silver medal at the World Championship in Tashkent. Due to fitness concerns, Nooh was not a contender for the Tokyo Olympics, but he excelled by winning silver in the plus 109 kg competition total. Nooh lifted a total weight of 390 kg, which included 165 kg in snatch and 225 kg in clean and jerk.

Pakistan has won two medals in this event. Meanwhile, Talha Talib won bronze in a 67kg snatch. Abubakar Ghani stood 13th in the 61kg division while Hanzala Dastagir placed 17th in the 109kg division.
