Malala Yousafzai, Pakistan’s Nobel prize laureate, and a rights activist tied the knot on Tuesday in a Nikkah ceremony at her Birmingham home. A 24-year-old activist said it was one of the most special days of her life. Malala’s husband, Asser Malik, is the PCB’s general manager of the High-Performance Center. The couple is looking forward to the journey ahead together, she stated.
Malala was 15 when she was targeted by the Taliban for advocating girls’ education. The announcement of Malala’s engagement was met with a chorus of tweets wishing her good luck and congratulating her.
