The Ministry of Finance has sent a summary to the federal Cabinet proposing the granting of a special pay allowance for all the ranks of the armed forces. This is to offset the low or no increases in their salaries over the last two years and eliminate pay disparities. In order to implement this increase, an additional Rs. 38 billion is needed.
The Prime Minister has also directed for the summary to be included in the next Cabinet meeting. This will increase the pay of the armed forces by 25% after an ad-hoc allowance of 10% has been included.
