Electric bikes to be assembled in Punjab by local companies

Two motorbike manufacturers are working together in Sahiwal, Punjab to manufacture electric motorbikes in Pakistan. Electric bikes which has almost become a need for the middle-class motorbike riders due to a rise in fuel prices were introduced earlier by many companies but didn’t win any public attention as they were very costly.

According to Usman Sheikh, CEO of Auj Technologies, a Lahore-based electric motorcycle company the new electric bike they named as ‘Jaguar’ will be budget-friendly as it is being assembled locally for the first time. The price of motorbike is set to Rs. 88,000 for now but will be reduced in the future, as claimed by the company’s CEO.
