US President Donald Trump told a news conference after attending the United Nations General Assembly, that he has encouraged Pakistan and India to ‘work it out’. “I said, ‘Fellas, work it out. Just work it out’,” he said. Trump encouraged the neighbouring nuclear states to work out their differences in separate meetings with their prime ministers this week.

Philippines President asks public to ‘shoot’ corrupt public officials

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte told Filipinos that they could “shoot but not kill” corrupt public officials. “If you pay taxes, fees, clearances or whatever, and these fools ask for a bribe, slap them. If you have a gun, you can shoot them, but don’t kill,” he remarked during his speech at the inauguration of Bataan government center and business hub.

Smith recently published a book named, “Tools and Weapons: The Promise and the Peril of the Digital Age” in which he mentions interesting details about Microsoft’s dealings with the US government and other entities.

International students allowed to stay two years in UK after graduation

Britain’s government has announced new post-Brexit immigration plans that will allow international students to work in the country for two years after graduating. Currently, foreign students can stay in the UK for unto four months after graduation. The British government wants to increase the number of international students in Britain 30 per cent to 600,000 by 2030, with an emphasis on STEM subjects.

Trump cancels peace talks with Afghan Taliban

United States President Donald Trump has made an abrupt statement, cancelling peace talks with Afghanistan’s Taliban leaders. The US President announces his decision on Sunday morning after the group said it was behind an attack in Kabul that killed an American soldier and 11 other people. Trump said the Afghan Taliban did not follow ceasefire and should not be allowed to negotiate.

A restaurant in India is offering a discount on a platter if the customer is from the disputed valley. The New Delhi restaurant is offering INR 370 discount on ‘Article 370 platter’ if a customer has a government ID from Jammu and Kashmir. The restaurant also claims to have veg and non-veg food options in the platter from the Himalayan region.

Pakistani pilgrims to pay 2000 riyal tax on their second Umrah

The Saudi government has introduced a rule which obligates pilgrims to pay a tax of SAR 2000 for performing Umrah again. Under the new rule, an individual will only be able to avail the tax-free visa facility two years after their previous Umrah. The policy has been introduced to facilitate pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Posters of DG ISPR appearing in IOK shock Indian authorities

Director General ISPR, Asif Ghafoor’s posters have surfaced in the streets and roads of Indian Occupied Kashmir, leaving Indian authorities in a state of severe shock. Popular micro-blogging site Twitter has sent a notice to ARY News’ official Twitter account over a video highlighting Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir and expressing solidarity with its people. ARY’s short video highlighting why Pakistan is condemning the Indian move in Kashmir was reported from Law enforcement of India. “The following content violates the law(s) of India,” reads notice sent by Twitter.
