President Trump warmly welcome PM Imran Khan to White House

Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived at the White House for his first one-on-one meeting with US President Donald Trump. PM Imran, accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, was warmly welcomed by President Trump outside the White House. Both shook hands, waved at the eager PTI supporters and headed inside White House to commence their first meeting.

Court rejects Rana Sanaullah’s plea to have homemade food in jail

The Sessions Court in Lahore has turned down plea of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, seeking permission for provision of homemade food in the jail. The court ordered the PML-N leader to contact the Jail Superintendent instead. The jail authorities claim that Sanaullah’s heath is being regularly monitored and he’s being provided with food accordingly.

India sends unmanned mission to far side of Moon

A week after an abrupt abort to mission, India’s space agency has launched an unmanned spacecraft to the far side of the Moon. Chandrayaan, the Sanskrit word for “moon craft”, is designed to land on the lunar south pole in September and send a rover to explore water deposits that were confirmed by a previous mission that orbited the Moon.

Prime Minster Imran Khan’s jalsa in US which gathered an overly charged crowd became top Twitter trend worldwide. During his first official visit to the US, the PM addressed Pakistani community in DC in a tightly packed The Capital One Arena, which has a capacity of around 25,000. Twitter was swarmed with all sorts of messages regarding the premier’s visit. 

Mohsin Abbas defends abuse allegations by saying wife played ‘woman card’

Mohsin Abbas Haider, accused of domestic abuse by wife Fatima Suhail, rubbished all allegations in a press conference on Sunday. Not only did Mohsin defend the abuse allegations but also claimed his wife has played  ‘woman card’ to malign him. Mohsin said that despite his anger issues in the past, he never assaulted his wife physically in their dwindling marriage.

Mohsin Abbas accused of domestic abuse by wife

Mohsin Abbas Haider, the Na Maloom Afraad actor was accused of domestic abuse by wife Fatima Sohail in a Facebook post Saturday night. Fatima claimed that Mohsin was cheating on her with a struggling model/actor and has been abusing her during four years of marriage. Fatima posted pictures  from one episode of abuse and has filed a lawsuit against Mohsin.

Money Heist, one of the most awaited series on Netflix has returned with its third season. However, what made it more exciting for people of Pakistan, was the apparent connection of Islamabad with the heist. It is revealed that a team of 65 members based in Islamabad is helping Professor (Álvaro Morte) track the data he and his team needs to fight the war.

PIA lauds President Alvi for travelling economy class

In an official post on social media, Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) has lauded President of Pakistan for ‘leading by example’ to make way for others. Recounting President Arif Alvi’s travel experience on flight PK 301 from Islamabad to Karachi, the national flag carrier commended his decision to adjust three of his family members in economy class due to flight load.

PM Imran continues austerity drive, travels on commercial flight

Prime Minister Imran Khan has departed for his 3-day visit to United States on a commercial Qatar Airways flight. The decision to fly through Qatar airways is in line with the Prime Minister’s austerity drive to “save taxpayer money”. In stark contrast to visits by previous chief executives, PM Imran’s entire trip to US is expected to cost $60,000.

Turkish biker girl believes Pakistani hospitality is unmatched

Ozbay Asil, well known Turkish biker girl, appreciates Pakistani hospitality after her short visit to Lahore. Asil, who travels across the globe, has said that the amount of love and warmth showered by the friendly Pakistani people is unmatched. Asil also said that the food is delicious and she would love to visit the country again in future.
