WAPDA awards Talha Talib & Arshad Nadeem cash prizes of Rs 25 lacs each

Talha Talib, and Arshad Nadeem received awards of Rs. 2.5 million each from the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) for their outstanding performance at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Talha and Arshad both performed better than expected during weight-lifting and javelin throwing, finishing fifth in both events. Furthermore, both athletes vowed to improve their performances even further in the future.

KJP to work as ‘biggest’ engine for job creation, says Usman Dar

Muhammad Usman Dar, the SAPM on Youth Affairs, said the majority of the young people were turning into job creators through the Kamyab Jawan Program (KJP). The program is expected to be the primary source of job creation in the country. Since the Kamyab Jawan Program began, at least 10,000 young people have succeeded in opening their own businesses.

Russia alleges Ashraf Ghani fled with four cars & helicopters full of cash

The Russian embassy in Kabul revealed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani left the country with four cars and a helicopter full of cash. The RIA news agency reports that some money had to be left behind because it would not all fit. Former Afghan president Ghani left Afghanistan on Sunday as the Taliban invaded Kabul virtually unopposed.

10-year-old Pakistani Yahya Aziz becomes world’s youngest climber to reach K2 base camp

The 10-year-old Pakistani climber Yahya Aziz became the world’s youngest mountaineer to reach Concordia, K2 Basecamp. Yahya, his father, and colleagues trekked 90 kilometers in 14 days in order to reach K2 Basecamp. He is the only Pakistani who has reached K2 Base Camp. Yahya climbed the 5,611-meter high Gondogoro La Pass, which is one of the world’s highest passes.

Prime Minister Imran Khan launches new national curriculum today

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the first phase of the Single National Curriculum for grades 5 and lower. In collaboration with the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, the National Curriculum Council developed the uniform curriculum. Moreover, they consult and collaborate with the education departments of all federating units of the country.

Sindh government bans wall chalking as part of Cleanliness Drive

Murtaza Wahab, the new city administrator, has written to the Sindh government to ban wall chalking in city walls. Murtaza Wahab said the city administration made the decision to ban wall chalking in order to protect the city walls. Furthermore, traffic congestion has prompted Murtaza Wahab to reactivate the dormant City Wardens. Murtaza Wahab said he will personally supervise the posting of city wardens. 

Khadija Siddique says she fears for her life following an attack at her home

Khadija Siddique told Twitter followers that unidentified shooters fired shots at her home in Lahore’s Gulberg area. She said that she was scared for her life after the attack. Khadija has filed a police complaint at the Gulberg police station. According to her complaint, when she went outside, she discovered a bullet hole in the bonnet of her car.

Russian forum sells network access to Pakistan’s top federal agency FBR

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) of Pakistan has been the victim of a large-scale cyber attack. It was discovered that of more than 1500 computer systems, a group of unknown hackers was selling network access to the agency on a Russian cybercrime forum. Hackread.com was informed that hackers breached Microsoft Hyper-V software. They took down both the official website and every subdomain of the agency.

Samar Khan becomes first woman to reaches k2 base camp on cycle

Adventure athlete Samar Khan became the first female cyclist to reach the base camp of K2 on cycle. She is also the first Pakistani to ride a bike to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Biafo Glaciers in the Karakoram Range. She has entered the record books by cycling to the base camp of the treacherous mountain. 

Helena Saeed first Pakistani woman to serve as UN Police Commissioner in Sudan

Helena Saeed of Pakistan is the first Pakistani woman to hold the UN Police Commissioner’s post in Khartoum, Sudan. She is the Additional Inspector General (AIG) for Police in Pakistan. She is the first woman to achieve flag rank in Pakistan’s police service history, and the first AIG to come from Balochistan.
