Agreement between Russia & Pakistan to build pipeline from Karachi to Lahore is biggest deal in decades

Russia & Pakistan signed a deal to build a major gas pipeline connecting southern Karachi port with industrial hubs in the north. According to media reports, it’s the biggest deal between Moscow and Islamabad since the 1970s. On Friday, Russia’s Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov and Pakistan’s Ambassador, Shafqat Ali Khan, signed a revised agreement for the project. Moreover, the project is now open for construction.

TikTok blocked 8 million video content and thousands of accounts in Pakistan

The Peshawar High Court was informed that TikTok blocked 8 million objectionable videos and approximately 400,000 accounts in the country. Moreover, TikTok had increased the team of moderators from 116 to 476 in Pakistan. However, moderators will monitor the content that contains any objectionable action or any incident material on TikTok.

According to a compulsory marriage bill submitted in the Sindh Assembly, parents in Sindh will be required to marry their children off after their 18th birthday. The secretariat of the assembly received a draft of this bill from the opposition members, Syed Abdul Rasheed. There is, however, a negative response to the bill among many people.

The Punjab government will pay monthly stipends to transgenders under a new social protection program. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information, made the announcement in Lahore while talking to the media with Jamal Nasir Cheema, Vice Chairman, Punjab Social Protection Authority. Moreover, she added that transgender people are a part of society and would receive a monthly stipend.

Reports on social media alleging gang-rape of Christian girl turn out to be false propaganda
