eBay sells McDonald’s McNugget for $100K for resembling video game

eBay sold one McDonald’s McNugget for $99,997 after it looked highly similar to a character from the game “Among Us”. When US seller Polizna put the MCNugget on the auction site, the price went from 99 cents to an outrageous dollar figure. A BBC report said there were over 180 bidders for the nugget before the auction closed on Friday.

New IT park to set up at Karachi airport

According to official announcements, the government is planning to set up an information technology (IT) park at Jinnah International Airport, a trade and business hub in Karachi, at a cost of Rs31 billion. The government seeks to enhance exports by increasing growth in the IT sector. In the government’s view, it does not make sense to rely on traditional exports such as textiles.

Government to introduce Electronic Voting Machine(EVM) on Aug 14

The government plans to introduce its production model of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) on Independence Day. The Ministry of science and technology in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics (NIE) and COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) teams had developed the EVM and presented them in parliament, however, they now plan to refine them both technologically and visually.

Pakistan improves its performance rating in 31 of 40 FATF recommendations

According to the Asia Pacific Group, regional body of FATF, Pakistan has successfully implemented 31 out of 40 FATF recommendations. In February 2021, Pakistan submitted its third progress report to the APG. Moreover, Pakistan has issued a number of sector-specific legislation, which provides more specific obligations for those sectors to assess and mitigate their risks.

Man earns $300,000 by paying credit card bills

A Physicist from the United States, Konstantin Anikeev, recently made over $300,000 through a unique strategy. With the help of his credit card, the physicist purchases a large number of gift cards. In order to pay for the credit card bills, he encashes those gift cards and then deposits the money in his bank account.

Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021 includes 16 Pakistani universities

There are 16 Pakistani universities ranked in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021 due to their impressive performance. The report states that Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) is on top of the list of Pakistani universities. Moreover, in the Asia University Rankings, China took the first two places. On the contrary, Japan remained the most-represented nation for the second consecutive year.

Abdul Razzak Dawood, advisor to the prime minister on commerce and investment, said Japan has approved the export of mangoes from Pakistan. The two countries have deepened their economic ties. Pakistan is the third-largest exporter of mangoes in the world. Moreover, Mangoes are known as the “King of Fruits” in Pakistan.

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is set to star in Ms. Marvel

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, who made his Bollywood debut with Sonam Kapoor, will star in Ms. Marvel as well. Haroon Rashid, a BBC entertainment journalist, shared the news on Twitter. He said that Fawad Khan is the first Muslim superhero in Ms. Marvel. Fawad is listed on the official IMDB page for the show. As of yet, Marvel has not commented.
