Apple has massively increased the amount it’s offering hackers for finding vulnerabilities in iPhones and Macs, up to $1 million. It’s by far the highest bug bounty on offer from any major tech company. That’s up from $200,000, and in fall the program will be open to all researchers. Previously only those on company’s invite-only bug bounty program were eligible to receive rewards.

India promises to ease restrictions in Kashmir before Eidul Azha.

Indian authorities have decided to ease restrictions in Indian occupied Kashmir ahead of the Eidul Azha by making ATMs functional and opening bank branches. People have been allowed to withdraw money, according to a Tweet by development commissioner Shahid Choudhry. However, there has been no confirmation elsewhere of the leniency in curfew and no reports of people heading to shopping areas for Eid.

13 Indian diplomatic staff members leave Pakistan

13 members of the Indian diplomatic staff in Pakistan, have reportedly left the country with their families via Wagah border. The staff members left after Pakistan decided to severe diplomatic ties with India in response to New Delhi’s illegal annexation of disputed Jammu and Kashmir region. Pakistan expelled Indian diplomats and also decided to suspend bilateral trade with India.

After ‘Samjhota express’, ‘Dosti’ bus service also suspended

As tensions escalate between Pakistan and India, Pakistan has decided to suspend the last public transport service between the countries: the ‘Dosti’ Bus. The bus service has been suspended for an indefinite period of time. Two days ago, train service to India called the ‘Samjhota express’ had also been suspended. Railway minister Sheikh Rasheed announced the news via Twitter. 

Maryam Nawaz arrested in Chaudhry Sugar Mills Case: NAB

PML-N vice president and daughter of ousted premier Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, has been arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The anti-graft body has also arrested Yousaf Abbas Sharif, a nephew of Nawaz, in same case. The move comes following Maryam and Yousaf’s reported refusal to appear before NAB in Chaudhary Sugar Mills and assets beyond means case today at 3pm.

UAE back India over Kashmir issue

In comments reported by the Emirati newspaper Gulf News, on Tuesday – the Abu Dhabi’s ambassador to New Delhi, Ahmad Al Banna, said the issue was an “internal matter” but that the revocation of the treaty would lead to peace. He further stated that the changes would improve social justice and security and confidence of the people in the local governance.

Kashmir information blackout of ‘great concern’: UN Human Rights spokesperson

The United Nations Human Rights spokesperson has expressed “great concern” over the information blackout in occupied Kashmir after India’s decision to repeal its special status. In a statement shared via a video on Twitter, the spokesperson said that what had already been observed to be a pattern, was taken to a “new level” with the latest restrictions placed by India.
