Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider, accused of domestic abuse against his wife, was found guilty by a lower court in Lahore of threatening his wife Fatema Sohail. However, the actor was found innocent of breach of trust and demanding money from his wife after a police investigation. The court instructed both defence and prosecution to present their respective final arguments during next hearing.
National anthems of Pakistan and Kashmir will be played at noon on Friday in line with the government’s move to observe ‘Kashmir Hour’ every week, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) ) Director General Major Gen Asif Ghafoor. Sirens would also blare during the hour at 12pm. DG ISPR also appealed to the country’s youth to participate in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) govt’s initiative.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is mulling over complete closure of airspace and to prohibit the use of Pakistan land routes for Indian trade to Afghanistan, said the Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry. “Legal formalities for these decisions are under consideration… #Modi has started we’ll finish,”! Fawad Chaudhry said in a Tweet following the federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad.
Pakistan Travel Agent Association has decided to boycott of UAE-based Etihad Airways due to the ongoing tensions over Kashmir. The association’s chairman Khawaja Ayub Naseem said that the airline’s boycott is to protest against UAE giving ‘Killer Modi’ its highest civilian award. He said that the Dubai-bound visitors will be briefed of UAE’s anti-Kashmir move and will try to change their mind.
Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat has been chosen by international Magazine, “Muslim Vibe” as one of the top five Muslim women in the world who are breaking stereotypes. Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairperson Mustafa Kamal has been suspended within 24 hours as focal person for sanitation and cleanliness in Karachi. Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar had issued a notification on Monday designating Kamal as ‘Project Director Garbage’ on a voluntary basis. However, the mayor held a press conference on Tuesday afternoon to announce that he was suspending Kamal for “acting beyond jurisdiction and authority”.
A mysterious explosion at a Russian weapons testing site earlier this month released various radioactive isotopes, creating a cloud of radioactive gases that swept across a nearby town. A Norwegian nuclear expert said that the isotopes – of strontium, barium, and lanthanum – were caused by a “nuclear chain reaction,” saying it was evidence that it “was a nuclear reactor that exploded.”
US President Donald Trump said that Pakistan and India could handle the issue of Kashmir on their own. The US president had previously offered to mediate between the two neighbouring coutries, but while speaking during a press conference with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump said, “Pakistan and India can handle the issue on their own, but I am here.”

The decision has been taken in view of the the situation along the eastern border particularly Afghanistan and Kashmir, while nuclear threats from India are another reason for the decision.
