Over 4,000 cameras belonging to the Lahore Safe City project are no longer working after a dispute between the project administration and the Chinese company managing the cameras. The dispute has arisen over Rs1 billion in dues not being paid. When the Chinese company didn’t receive the money, it shut down the cameras. The project uses CCTV cameras across Lahore to monitor crime and traffic violations.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to invite PM Imran Khan to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) heads of government meeting in New Delhi, according to the Indian media. Indian foreign ministry spokesperson added all eight members and four observer states and other international dialogue partners will be invited. Rapper Akon recently announced on his social media channels that he will be building a futuristic, crypto-city in Africa. The city of the future to be built in Senegal will be named AKON CITY. AirSial – a new domestic airline – is all set to launch in the country after getting approval from the federal cabinet.
