All about the ‘Pawri Ho Rahi Hai’ meme and the girl behind it

Social media in Pakistan, and even our neighboring country India, has been taken over by another viral meme. From national cricket team to actors in Pakistan, remakes of the viral #Pawrihorahihai have been shared all over the internet. Even Indian music producer Yashraj Mukhate created a mix from the viral clip. But who is the girl behind the meme and why did she make it?

Looks like the girl making the video, was herself taking a dig at ‘burgers’ who visit Northern areas. Dananeer, a social media influencer with about 185K followers on Instagram, fakes an English accent as she tries to capture her fun moment with friends.

Yeh humari car hai, yeh hum hain, aur yeh humari party (Pawri) ho rahi hai [This is our car, this is us, and this is our party]”

The 19-year-old’s video instantly went viral and thousands of meme have been created so far. Even though she is now a meme, Dananeer has taken the viral spotlight pretty well, being the butt of her own joke.

“Yeh main hun, yeh maeri video haai, aur main aik meme banngayi hun [This is me, this is my video, and I have become a meme]”

Dananeer Mobeen told BBC Urdu that she and her friends were visiting the popular hill station Nathia Gali in northern Pakistan when she suddenly decided to film the video. The young influencer said that when she uploaded the video, she had no idea that it would go viral, adding that the only intention behind the video was to make people laugh and enjoy it.

Dananeer is a girl of many talents as she likes to cook and blogs about food as well. She loves to paint and sing too and also loves dogs.
