100-year-old athlete from Florida becomes world’s oldest competitive female powerlifter

100-year-old Edith Murway holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s oldest competitive female powerlifter. She became one of the world’s strongest centenarians on Sunday. She can deadlift 165 pounds and bench press 65 pounds. Moreover, she started weightlifting at the age of 91. The powerlifter has now competed in more than a dozen competitions.

She set a Guinness World Record in the category of the oldest competitive powerlifter (female) because of her strength and passion. Additionally, she was a professional dancer and instructor at the local recreation center.
