Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Tuesday a special economic package to help the people amid the coronavirus lockdown in the country. Rs200 billion will be allocated for labourers and Rs150 billion for poor families and Rs3000 per month will be given to them. The premier also announced Rs100 billion tax refunds for businesses and industries.
Naimal Khawar Khan is all praises for Prime Minister Imran Khan for his stance on treating minorities as equal citizens of Pakistan. The former actress who is married to Hamza Ali Abbasi retweeted the prime minister’s tweet which he sent out on Wednesday in favour of minorities. Naimal Khawar Khan retweeted his statement with a comment that read: “This man is our Pride!”
The police authorities faced severe criticism for missing out Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nephew Barrister Hassaan Niazi name in the cases registered against lawyers who attacked the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. A mobile phone footage had caught PM’s nephew Hassaan Niazi throwing stones on police on Jail Road. A senior police officer however, denied the allegation of giving favour to Hassaan Niazi.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has departed for his 3-day visit to United States on a commercial Qatar Airways flight. The decision to fly through Qatar airways is in line with the Prime Minister’s austerity drive to “save taxpayer money”. In stark contrast to visits by previous chief executives, PM Imran’s entire trip to US is expected to cost $60,000.
