Pakistan Army wins gold medal at International Competition held in Nepal

A team of Pakistan Army has won a gold medal and clinched the title of the “Best International Team” at the 4th COAS- International Tri-Adventure Competition held in Nepal. Overall, a total of 20 teams of international armies from all over the world took part in the event that was held between 18 to 21 March. Pakistan Army participated in the International Tri-Adventure Competition for the first time. 

Pakistan successfully conducts training launch of Babur cruise missile

Pakistan has conducted a successful training launch of the Babur IA cruise missile, said a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The cruise missile has a range of 450 kilometres and can be launched from either a submarine or a land-based quad-launcher. The military’s media wing added that the missile is “capable of engaging targets at land and sea with high precision”.

General Bilal Akbar appointed as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

Lt-Gen (retd) Bilal Akbar has been appointed as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. He has replaced a career diplomat, Raja Ali Ejaz. Since the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki was from the Royal Saudi Navy and retired as Rear Admiral, both Islamabad and Riyadh now have former military men as each other’s ambassadors in their respective capitals.

Pakistan Army cadet conferred with Best Foreign National Military Cadet award in Australia

A Pakistan Army cadet has been conferred with the Best Foreign National Military Cadet award at the Royal Military College (RMC), Duntroon, Australia, DG ISPR announced in a Tweet. Muhammad Haris Mairaj of 141 Long Course has been declared the overall best foreign national military cadet at the passing out parade at the RMC Duntroon.

PML-N leader met with Gen Qamar over Nawaz, Maryam issue: DG ISPR

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has confirmed that two meetings took place between Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mohammad Zubair. DG ISPR said that matters in relation with PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were discussed during the meetings.

Army chief asks opposition leaders to not drag military into politics

Army Chief Gen Qamar Bajwa and head of the Inter-Services Int­elligence, Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, made it clear to opposition leaders that the army should not be dragged into rivalries of political parties. In a meeting with key opposition figures days before their multiparty conference, the senior military officials told that army is “not involved, directly or indirectly, in any political process of the country”.

The global leader in business and financial data, Bloomberg, speculates Army is slowly tightening its grip in Pakistan and is unofficially back in control. Pakistan Army destroys ‘8th Indian spy drone this year’

Pakistan Army on Friday shot down another Indian spy drone that intruded into the country’s airspace along the Line of Control (LoC). The quadcopter had intruded 500 meters in Khanjar Sector along LOC, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said in a tweet. This is the third Indian spy drone destroyed in almost 10 days period.

Pak Army Takes Down Indian Spy Drone in Azad Kashmir

Pakistan Army has downed another Indian spy drone close to the Line of Control (LoC) for violation of airspace. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that the Indian drone intruded about 650 meters in side Pakistan’s territory near the Rakhchikri sector at LoC. The drone was engaged in aerial photography when it was brought down in a swift retort by Pakistan Army, the military wing said.
