Rizwan surpasses Kohli, just 5 runs short of Chris Gayle to break world record

Rizwan scored unbeaten 79 runs off 50 balls in T20 World Cup 2021 against Namibia, continuing his brilliant run in the shortest format of the game. With this knock, Rizwan has now surpassed Virat Kohli for the most T20 runs in a calendar year and is just five runs behind Chris Gayle.

Rizwan has now become the second-highest run-scorer for the season in terms of T20 runs. Rizwan has now scored 1661 runs, while Kohli scored 1614 runs in 2016. He is just five runs short of explosive left-hander Chris Gayle, who scored 1665 runs in 2015. Rizwan is set to break the world record in the near future.
