Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated his government on achieving 5.37% GDP growth during the 2020-2021 financial year. He took to Twitter to highlight the growth, claiming that the rise in GDP had led to the creation of substantial jobs and an increase in per capita income. PM Imran asserted that the economic reforms have been recognized internationally as a “success”.

Bloomberg predicts that Pakistan’s employment levels and growth trajectory will remain strong.
Moreover, he claimed that since the outbreak of Covid-19, Pakistan has been ranked among the top [three] countries on the normalcy index, indicating that jobs and lives have been “saved”.
