Pakistan to host its first formal winter sports festival to showcase country’s tourism potential

Pakistan’s mountainous Gilgit Baltistan region will host the first formal winter sports festival this December to draw foreign visitors. Officials said that the country should make use of its tourism potential to promote the country. It has been confirmed that athletes from Germany and Canada will participate. GB is home to the Himalayas and the world’s second-highest mountain K2.

It is estimated that the festival will attract hundreds of thousands of people this year. This year’s festival will begin in December and continue until March 2022.
