Pakistan to guide Asian countries about forestry and green initiatives

Pakistan will have the honor of guiding Asian countries on forestry initiatives and green initiatives to cope with climate change. During UN Climate Summit COP26 in Glasgow, Pakistan was among three countries selected as ‘Forestry Champions’ in the world along with Costa Rica and Congo. The UN has now chosen these three countries to guide the forestry and green initiatives in their continents.

Global efforts are being made to combat climate change in response to its growing challenges. According to an official, Pakistan will now be a leading green country in Asia.

The program would also discuss highly acclaimed green initiatives such as the Ten Billion Tree Tsunami project, Clean Green Pakistan, and Protected Areas Initiatives with regional countries.
