Modi ready to accept PM Imran’s message of peace

In their replies to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s congratulatory letters, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar have said New Delhi wished for peace and development in South Asia and beyond. The leaders added that India always prioritises peace and human development and called for special attention on elimination of terrorism.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) however, asserted that the letters contained no reference to talks between New Delhi and Pakistan.
