Joe Biden’s uses ‘Inshallah’ to show meagre hope over Trump’s tax returns claim

Midway through Tuesday night’s chaotic presidential debate, viewers all over the world could not help but notice Joe Biden using the famous Arabic phrase ‘Inshallah’ to mock President Trump. When Trump vowed to release his still-private tax returns, Joe Biden shot back at his opponent with a particularly sarcastic jab. While the phrase translates to “God willing,” it also has colloquial connotations of ambiguous commitment.

School teacher’s woven charpoys gain fame on social media but no national support

Aijaz Bugti, a former teacher, from Nazar Mohammad village rose to fame for his beautiful woven charpoys after MNA Nafisa Shah tweeted about his work. Bugti received heaps of praises from social media users and his work as an artisan was highly appreciated. However, Bugti said that while his art is loved regionally, he has never received any support from national media or cultural department.

Wildlife Park in UK removes parrots from view for swearing at visitors

Five foul-mouthed parrots have been separated after learning to swear at a Lincolnshire zoo in the UK. The parrots – named Billy, Elsie, Eric, Jade and Tyson – joined Lincolnshire Wildlife Park’s colony of 200 grey parrots in August. But soon after, they started encouraging each other to swear. The parrots have since been distributed to different areas of the park.

Tahir Ashrafi made special representative to PM on religious harmony

Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has been appointed as special representative to the prime minister on religious harmony. Maulana Ashrafi, who is also chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) and president of Muttahida Ulema Board, is known for speaking out against social injustice and advocating for ending discord based on faith. The appointment of Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi shall be in honorary capacity.

PM Khan tasks FO, FIA with bringing Nawaz Sharif back at earliest

Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Foreign Office (FO) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to use all legal means to bring back PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif from UK. This important decision was taken in a meeting of the federal cabinet chaired by PM Imran Khan. It has been decided to write a fresh letter to the British government for repatriation of Sharif.

FIA books Meesha Shafi along with eight others over vilification of Ali Zafar

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime wing has booked singer Meesha Shafi and eight others for launching a smear campaign against singer-actor Ali Zafar. The FIR against the suspects was filed for a non-cognisable offence on order of FIA special court. According to the FIR, the suspects were summoned multiple times to present their defence, failing which granted a cause of criminal proceedings against them.

Pakistani martial artist wins Guinness world record for walnut cracking head to head against India

Pakistan’s Muhammad Rashid made 45 records to his name by defeating S.Navin Kumar from India by cracking the most walnuts head to head in a minute. Rashid cracked 254 walnuts whereas, Kumar cracked 239. The Pakistan Academy of Martial Arts is the only academy in the entire world with over 50 records as Rashid Naseem has earned and put his name in each of the category.

Lahore Capital City Police Officer Umar Sheikh, while speaking to the Senate human rights panel again laid the blame on the Motorway gang-rape victim. During the hearing, the CCPO was berated by the panel for expressing his “presumption” that the incident took place because the victim “was travelling late at night without her husband’s permission”.
