KFC appoints Pakistan’s IBA graduate Sabir Sami as its global CEO

KFC has appointed Sabir Sami, a graduate of the Institute of Business Administration Karachi, as CEO of the global division. Sabir will take over the position from Tony Lowings, who is stepping down at the end of 2021. Sami will take on global responsibility for the direction and performance of KFC’s brand strategy.

Sabir also serves as Managing Director of KFC Asia, a high-growth region for the brand that spans 17 markets, excluding China, and consists of 15 percent of KFC Division restaurants. Sabir previously worked at Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, and Reckitt Benckiser. Sabir Sami has been affiliated with Yum for the past 12 years.
