IHC orders demolition of ‘illegal’ Navy Sailing Club

The Islamabad High Court ordered the demolition of the “illegal” Navy Sailing Club within three weeks. The club was established on the bank of Rawal Lake. The IHC ordered action against the former naval chief. In a brief ruling today, the IHC CJ said Pakistan’s military has an important status that is mentioned in the constitution.

In the top court’s ruling, it was determined that the navy lacks the authority to engage in real estate activities. Accordingly, the institution’s name may not be used for this purpose.
