Eid-ul-Fitr moon sighted: Mufti Popalzai

Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai has announced at Masjid Qasim Ali Khan that the moon of Shawwal has been sighted in Peshawar and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. The Federal Government has already announced that Met office predicted that the moon will be sighted in the country on Tuesday, June 4 and Eid will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.

11-year-old Iranian girl beats Einstein, Hawking’s IQ score

Tara Sharifi, an 11-year-old Iranian student at Aylesbury High School UK, recently took the Mensa IQ test and scored 162 points, which is well above the genius benchmark of 140 points. With this score she has beaten Einstein, a theoretical physicist who is considered as one of the two pillars of modern physics, and the famous cosmologist Professor Stephen Hawking by two points.

Man murders HIV-positive wife in Shikarpur accusing her of cheating

A man killed his HIV-positive wife in the Shikarpur district of Sindh, after accusing her of having extramarital affair. The 32-year-old mother of four was strangled with a rope and then hunted on the tree outside the home, the police reported. Shikarpur district neighbours Larkana district were HIV epidemic recently took place. The police have taken the suspect under custody.

NUST & LUMS ranked in the list of Top 100 Universities of Asia

The QS World University Rankings for 2019 have ranked National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) at 87th position in Asia (world ranking 417) and Lahore University of Management (LUMS) at 95th position in Asia (world ranking 701-750). Additionally, in the latest rankings, the number of Pakistani universities has also increased from last year’s 16 to 23.
