A special hatch-opening ceremony was held at the China Academy of Space Technology to present the Pakistani national flag that was carried to the space station aboard the Shenzhou-12. China Manned Space Agency sent the national flags of Pakistan and China into space in celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Pakistan and Afghanistan discuss expanding CPEC to enhance regional connectivity and trade

In an effort to enhance regional connectivity and trade, Pakistan and Afghanistan have discussed extending the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmed Khan, said that regional connectivity would enable Pakistan to improve its economic relationship with Kabul. CPEC offers opportunities for infrastructure and energy connectivity between Afghanistan and Pakistan. This will help connect Southeast Asia to Central Asia.

Maheen Khalid from AJK obtains 1,098/1,100 marks in Federal board intermediate examination

Maheen Khalid, a student of Fauji Foundation College, secured the first position in the Federal Board with 1098/1100 marks. Pakistan is offering one hundred scholarships to Afghan students

Pakistan has announced 100 scholarships for aspiring Afghan university students, the country’s ambassador said on Monday. Students in Afghanistan can now apply for 100 scholarships at the University of Management and Technology in Lahore. Scholarship opportunities are available for both males and females. The government of Pakistan continues to cooperate with Afghanistan in the education sector.

AliPay, the world’s largest mobile payment platform, to launch in Pakistan

The online and mobile payment platform Alipay is planning to open its operations in Pakistan soon. Alipay, a business venture of Alibaba Group, and Pakistan’s government will collaborate on advancing e-commerce transactions in Pakistan. In Pakistan, many telecom operators offer mobile payment services to their subscribers, but there have been few international applications so the availability of portals has been low.

Militants blow up statue of Quaid e Azam installed on Gwadar’s marine drive

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) destroyed the statue of Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on Marine Drive in Gwadar Port. The BLA has taken responsibility for the destruction of the statue. The statue was installed in June 2021 in a high-security area close to the residence of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) and the office of the Deputy Inspector General.

Pak Army wins Bronze medal in 58th World Military Boxing Championship in Russia

The Pakistan Army won a Bronze Medal in 58th World Military Boxing Championship held in Moscow, Russia. During the world military boxing championship, Pakistan Army Sepoy Bilawal Zia won bronze, according to a press release from the ISPR. Pakistan has finally won a medal at the World Military Boxing Championship after 11 years. Zia Bilawal won bronze in the 83kg category.
