The father of Pakistan’s Test batter Azhar Ali has won the 21-kilometer marathon in Sheikhpura, Pakistan. A 76-year-old athlete, Rafiq has also competed in a number of different marathons. He continues to stay in shape every day by running. Azhar is proud to be his son as he inspires all with his running hobby even at this age.

Govt to set up country’s first all-woman market in Islamabad by October 30

The Minister for the Interior announced a specialized market for women would be established by October 30 in the capital. The announcement was made during the 12th Annual General Meeting 2021-22 of the Islamabad IWCCI. Sheikh Rasheed said that women must be involved in the overall development of the country.

Pakistan’s Muhammad Saad wins bronze medal at world cup Mas-Wrestling

Pakistan’s Muhammad Saad won the bronze medal at the second stage of the World Cup Mas-Wrestling competition in Istanbul on Sunday. He made the country proud by winning the bronze medal in the 60kg weight category after struggling in the early stages of the tournament. Muhammad Saad was trained by Majid Khan and Muhammad Rashid, who holds 30 world records.

Pakistan wins 8 bronze medals at 5th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2021 in Abu Dhabi

The Pakistan Ju-Jitsu team won eight medals in single and duo competitions at the5th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2021 in Abu Dhabi. PJJF officially reported there were 468 entries from 18 countries in this mega event. Pakistan, however, only fielded eight athletes due to a lack of funding. The lockdown had been in place for over two years, preventing the athletes from receiving proper training.

IBA Karachi expelles student for exposing harassment allegations on social media

IBA Karachi has expelled a student after he exposed an alleged case of harassment on campus. Mohammed Gibrail was punished for reporting the incident on social media rather than using the IBA’s “right channels” developed for that purpose. Gibrail posted on Facebook about an incident at the IBA’s finance department on August 25.

First US doctor of Pakistani descent to head the American College of Physicians

The prestigious American College of Physicians has nominated Dr. Omar Atiq to be its next president. Atiq is the first physician of Pakistani descent and the only second international medical graduate to hold this position. Pakistani physicians constitute a third of the total number of physicians in the United States. Atiq is the sole candidate running for the post and elections will be held in January.

Facebook Post Reunites Mother and son in Bangladesh after 70 years

Social media helped to reunite a Bangladeshi man in his 80s with his nearly 100-year-old mother after about 70 years. Around the age of ten, Abdul Kuddus Munsi was sent to live with his uncle but lost touch with his family after running away and being adopted by two sisters. The video was posted on Facebook by a businessman in April, asking for help in finding Kuddus’ parents.

Pakistani tech firm Systems Limited has been named to Forbes’ list of Asia’s Best Under A Billion Companies. This list identifies 200 publicly traded Asia-Pacific companies under $1 billion in revenue with consistent top-line and bottom-line growth. Systems Limited has been included in the esteemed list for the second time in a row, an official statement said on Tuesday.

Slain delivery rider brutally shot in head by street criminals in Karachi for Rs5,000 mobile

A delivery rider in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth in Karachi was shot in the head by an armed street criminal for stealing a Rs5,000 mobile phone. Imran, the deceased rider, had travelled to Karachi so that he could bear the expenses of his younger brothers. The footage showed a street criminal killing a delivery rider on a busy road in Karachi.

Legendary WWE stars, Undertaker and Hulk Hogan might be coming to Pakistan soon

Professional Wrestling Entertainment’s CEO, Zeeshan Basheer, is working on bringing the Undertaker and Hulk Hogan to Pakistan. A UAE-based sports enthusiast, Zeeshan, organized an international wrestling event in 2017 that included 25 wrestlers from around the world. Currently, he is in talks with legendary WWE stars about hosting the second season in Pakistan.
