FATF announced Thursday that Pakistan would remain on its grey list of countries subject to heightened monitoring. Pakistan has been on the gray list since June 2018 because of weaknesses in its anti-terrorism financing and anti-money laundering regimes. Dr. Marcus Pleyer, FATF President, announced the decision by saying Pakistan had to complete two concurrent action plans containing a total of 34 items.
