Government to launch Youth Empowerment Card soon

The government is going to introduce a Youth Empowerment Card, according to inside sources. The holders of this card will enjoy subsidies on civic services such as travel, passport fee, and CNIC along with that the needy will also get Rs. 4000 to Rs. 5000 per month from the government. NADRA will provide the data for the qualifying youth across the country.

Indian cotton exporters want to trade with Pakistan again

Indian cotton exporters are looking forward to resuming trade with Pakistan after halting it after India’s decision to revoke the disputed status of Indian occupied Kashmir. India exported 500,000 bales of cotton to Pakistan last year and is expecting to sell 1.5-2 million bales this year. As the quality of cotton produced in Pakistan has decreased, Pakistan is seeing a 35-percent fall in cotton production this year becoming a net importer of cotton from a cotton exporting country. 

Afghanistan to release Taliban militants in exchange for American, Australian professors

Afghanistan will release two senior Taliban commanders and a leader of the Haqqani militant group in exchange for an American and an Australian professor who were kidnapped in 2016, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s office said on Tuesday. The prisoner swap deal could pave the way for peace talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban.

Ms Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk to land in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe

In a recent turn of events, Kevin Feige has announced that three new superheroes will be landing in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Feige revealed that it would actually be Ms Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk that will show up in films, although it’s unknown whether they’ll fight alongside the Avengers in ensemble films or just as supporting players in other characters’ standalone films.

YouTube can now delete channels that are not profitable

In its latest terms of service set to commence from December 10, YouTube could easily delete your account if the channel is not profitable. The section title titled “Account Suspension & Termination” has made content creators very nervous. This also means that creators could lose out on their Gmail, Google Photos and documents if they are no longer profitable on the video platform.

Russia is planning to disconnect itself from the internet

Russia along with its major internet providers is set to disconnect from the internet as part of the “sovereign internet” law that came into effect recently. This is due to the long-planned internet bill  proposed by the Russian Parliament in 2018 that recently got approved. All internet service providers will be controlled by a single telecom entity called Roskomnadzor and will block all access to internet content that the Russian government deems a threat.

PM takes notice of inaction on complaints on Pakistan Citizen Portal app

Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of inaction of officers regarding citizens’ complaints lodged on the Pakistan Citizen Portal app. The PM office had observed that complaints were disposed of without proper inquiry, satisfactory reply, and documentary evidence. It also noted that the departments took “unnecessary time” in addressing complaints and the decision to resolve complaints was taken by “unconcerned officials”.
