Arafat Day sermon to be broadcast in five languages including Urdu

The Arafat Day sermon will be broadcast in five languages — English, French, Indonesian, Urdu, and Persian, the General Presidency for Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced. The sermon will be available on smartphone app as well as on website of the presidency. The project witnessed a technical and organizational development that would enable users to benefit from translations in the holy sites.

Standing on Arafat, the pinnacle of the Hajj pilgrimage, takes place on the 9th day of the lunar month of Dhul Hijjah. On this day, pilgrims gather on the plains of Mount Arafat and keep themselves busy in prayers and supplications till sunset and leave for Muzdalifah to spend the night there.
